I simply couldn't resist the urge to try another sock trend. Instead of doing a contrasting sock and shoe I went for a monochromatic sock moment...Read More

I think it's safe to say that I could have easily walked off a scene from Clueless the movie. The rhombus/diamond (whatever you choose to call this print) pattern gives an ode to everyone's first favorite fashion movie. 90's fashion is among one of my favorites styles to emulate. It's fun, youthful, the biggest reminder to pop culture and always leaves me feeling nostalgic when I incorporate it into a look. What's a 90's throwback look without white high-waisted trousers to match? Add chunky mod black boots and accessorize with updated pieces like these red cat-eye sunglasses (also very vintage, lets be honest lol) and a matching red shoulder bag for that 90's oomph! That'll show them! I'll be sifting through my wardrobe this week to see what other 90's fashion trends I can come up with.
So what do we think of this 90's fashion revival, are you here for it? Leave a comment below and be sure to click throughout the links for some 90's fashion inspo pieces. Have a great day! :-)

It's not everyday that I wear socks with sandals but this was definitely one of my favorite trends to experiment with. Since I want to make full use of my shoes during Fall/Winter wearing socks with heels or sandals seems just right. I love that the neon green socks adds a fun element and pop of color to my outfit. Although I stayed in the shoes for a maximum of a hour lol, don't judge me! (Some days wearing heels are better then others) I received some great feed back on my journey to the store and back! Haha! It's great to know that this outfit was street style approved. I've purchased more fun socks to add to the collection and can't wait to show you all some of the ways I style this fun trend! I wanted to pair my new sweater with a pair of semi cropped flared denim. I finished the look with my favorite bag of the moment (I LOVE this spacious black bag, remember when I wore it here) and these floral print chunky heel sandals paired with the neon green socks were the perfect finishing touch!
Will anyone be experimenting with the socks worn with heels trend? Let me know in the comments below. Be sure to return tomorrow for another updated outfit post! :-)

Nothing screams more Fall then having a chic bomber jacket on deck. In this case I have several that will be in constant rotation this season. The bomber jacket is another one of those staple Summer to Fall transitional piece that is great to have in your wardrobe as the months ahead cool down. They seem to never go out of style. Remember when I wore the same bomber in this post here then again here? They are just that great!
I absolutely adore this royal blue bomber I picked up last Fall. I loved it so much I went back to get the same one in black. Bombers are easy to layer and perfect for pulling off those edgy looks. I paired mine with high waist leather leggings, studded strap sandals, and a stripe denim shirt. It is the perfect edgy yet somewhat monochromatic look.
So if you're thinking about purchasing a new bomber jacket this fall try toughening up the look with leather like this one here, denim, studs, go monochromatic or even try out a fun bold colored bomber to spice things up (like this beauty here).

Yesterday I brought these pants and decided to wear them the same day. Not only are these culotte's amazingly soft and comfy, they are totally unusual from the colors I typically have in my wardrobe. At first I was hesitant to purchase them but decided why not as they look super good on. They were great for my day of running errands and stylish when it came to going to have lunch. I also love that this color is perfect for transitioning into Fall and will also be great for Winter by adding stockings underneath for warmth of course.
As of late I've been keeping in mind the colder months ahead when making my purchases because as most may know New York Winters' can feel excruciatingly long. So having a wardrobe that is ready to combat the cold is essential!
I've been in love with wearing mock-neck tops like this (like in my latest post here), paired with the chocolate brown culotte made this the perfect transition outfit. If it were a little chillier out, I would simply add a cool denim jacket and swap out my beige slides for a burgundy pair of booties instead.
To finish up this look, I added another recent purchase. The black scrunched shoulder bag is so spacious, stylish and perfect for the girl on the go. I added my gold snake print sunnies and a purple lippie to finish the look.
And just like the sun, I felt golden!

Gucci has indeed revamped their style department like no other fashion house in recent years. The cool retro space cadet meets galactic 60's cowgirl/cowboy feel has caught many eyes. Gucci's latest creative director Alessandro Michele has let his imagination run wild all over the famed fashion house and we are loving every piece of it!
While I'm not brave to do a full on maximalist Gucci inspired look. I took one element, this super cute studded purple denim jacket and paired it with neutrals underneath. Since this purple denim jacket is a star on its own, I let it be the center of attention for the entire look. I went with a mock neck cream shirt which paired perfectly with my new a-line mini skirt. The oversized belt attachment caught my attention immediately as oversized belts are making a comeback this season.

For the entire month of September, peacockers from all over the world descend upon the Fashion Mecca that is New York City. I love this time of the year as it's a way to connect with fellow fashionista's and see all the creativity fashion designers work so hard to produce.
Day 1 of NYFW was quite relax in speed as I only packed one thing on my To Do List and that was to attend the WWD X Samsung Style Dimension Panel. The segment was focused on Beauty X Technology On & Off The Runway with WWD Beauty Editor Jenny B. Fine and Nudestix Co-Founder Taylor Frankel.
For my New York Fashion Week look I wore a striped turtleneck bell sleeved sweater with a embellished pair of wide-leg pants. I'm obsessed with this lady bag which you may have seen in a previous post here for Choosing Denim. I finished the look with a rectangle pair of statement earrings and a bold red lip.
How are you celebrating NYFW? Let me know in the comments below! :-)
Not every Friday night has to end with a fuzzy cab ride home. Telling your Uber driver your entire life story in a span of 20 minutes. Lol! Uber drivers are not your therapist. (Note to self) If ever you find yourself in on a Friday night. Use this as a time to reflect on your week, set goals on the upcoming week and get ready to crush them or you can binge watch some hot Netflix show and drink wine!
Before I decided to settle in for my Friday night I decided to briefly go to Dumbo, Brooklyn for a stroll near the bridge. It is one of those relaxing moments and going near sundown is almost always ideal to see the sunset.
Because it happened to be slightly chilly Friday I decided to wear my super soft and comfy hunter green sweater. I paired the sweater with a pair of gingham trousers and my chunky heel black boots I've been wearing none stop lately. I took the latest issue of Harper's BAZAAR Magazine to indulge in while I sip my coffee near the bridge.
Are you all excited for sweater weather? How did you spend your Friday night? Let me know in the comments below and have a great week! :-)
Fire Engine Red for Fall because why not? This seasons newest hot color has been all over the catwalk and street circuit so it's no wonder I have subconsciously been moving it's way. I've always enjoyed different hues of red and I'm sure this season I'll be doing a lot more experimenting. Bold
It still amazes me the impact of color. The way it can make you feel, the way you treat yourself and others, the way you feel when you wear and see it. Red makes me feel strong. Red has always universally symbolize strength. To learn more about Color Psychology view this article here!
So the next time I choose an outfit I'll keep this in mind as it can play a major roll in your psyche. I had fun wearing this outfit. By pairing the orange crop top underneath the red corduroy jacket created a color-block affect. I chose a black mini skirt to show off some leg since everything on top was pretty covered. Chunky heel black retro booties and a medium structured red bag to complete a spicy Fall worthy outfit combo you're surely to repeat. So when you're ready try red in small doses such as a shoe or go bold and powerful with a fiery red blazer or dress! However you feel, have fun with it!
How do you feel about this seasons newest "it" color? Will you be rocking red too? Let me know in the comments below! :-)
Add A Style Star...
These red booties was the added pop of color this outfit needed to make a major statement!
While a basic denim pants may be something we all have in our closets, forego yours basic this season and try a statement pair instead. I've created 3 new tips on how to choose your next pair of denim to make a style statement.
3 New Tips For Choosing Your Next Pair Of Denim:
Looking for unique cuts range from boot cut, wide-leg, skinny and so many more. Sometimes opting for a pair that is slightly outside your comfort zone can be a great decision. When experimenting with different cuts, these flare ones was a great option as I instantly fell in love with how they look and made me look slightly taller.
Color is supper important in pushing your denim decision in the right or wrong direction. With so many variations and hues of denim to choose from. One can could easily become overwhelmed with the process. Opt for a traditional blacks, white/cream, and different hues of blue can be fun to experiment like this Indigo wash denim I chose over a True blue.
Reawaken your denim decisions by choosing a pair of pants with a hint of detail and if your truly daring, try a double dose of details too. The design on the knee of the pants mixed with the symmetrical cut in the front that runs into a frayed hem, instantly elongates the leg while also allowing you to show off the amazing pair of shoes underneath. Score!

Hello Millennial Pink!
While most are bidding this color fare well.
I am the kindred soul motioning it into my open arms.
Embracing the once female dominated hue and beckoning it to stay a little while longer.
As my fellow fashionista are saying "Au Revoir" to pink, vibrant, and boisterous colors alike.
The smell of Fall is near and the jewel tones will descend among us before we can blink our freshly applied falsies and double coat our high-end luxury mascara! Yay! ( Please hear the sarcasm in that)
I however, will allow this one to rest a little while longer, prop it's head on my shoulder and groom it into my wardrobe for the Fall and Winter. Hello Millennial Pink you can stay a little while longer!
I am forceful, I know in getting my wardrobe to behave the way I want i.e the force-ation of this Pink ribbed turtleneck crop top in the dead of a soaring hot Summer day. Forced? Maybe.
And if you're not so fond of wearing a full on pink look start in small doses by rocking some cool retro pink sunglasses. If vintage shades aren't your think how about an ultra chic pink ballet flat or pointed toe heel. Whatever your preference, having this lustrous Instagramable pink hue in your wardrobe will not only benefit your sense of fashion, up your style game, but your Instagram feed as well. All pluses in my book.
So fellow millennial what do you think of "millennial pink"? Have you rocked it already or will you be trying it out? Let me know in the comments below.

You can not simply rush creativity. Some days it comes naturally for me and other times it's a long strenuous though-out process that usually ends up being scrapped, back to the drawing board, repeat, repeat, repeat, writer's block and a whole conundrum of other blockage.
When this happens, what do you do?
Taking a walk around Harlem is usually the little spark I need to get some creative juices flowing and flying off the shelf.
Read on for easy chic outfit recipe!
About the outfit:
I've learned a while ago that investing in good basics, makes your life easier. I've truly worn this shirt so many times since purchasing it two years ago. It never fails to be that piece I reach for on a weekly basis. So with this shirt being, Step One in achieving that chic outfit formula we love to have on a daily basis.
Step Two, the bottoms. My denim is near and dear to my heart so as you could imagine I have that department on lock. I thrifted these high-rise denim shorts and simply frayed the edges. After several wash and dries, they fit amazing and has been another most worn Summer staple.
Step Three, the layer. So you may be over wearing this combo. However, mixing it up by adding a nice tailored vest like I did here (remember when I wore this same vest here) or a light weight cardigan can instantly take a basic look to next level chicness.
What do you think about this outfit recipe? Would you try it? Let's chat in the comments below. Happy Monday! :-)
While the weather is good enough to wear mock necks, pretty soon we'll all be in full on turtlenecks, coats and scarves. Are you all ready for Fall? Although I love Fall just as much as the next person, I'm just not quite ready to let Summer go. So I'll be basking in the sun as much as possible and arranging more Summer activities to check off my list. How about you?
Can you believe this outfit took me less than five minutes to create. Talk about saving time. In a true New Yorker fashion I wasn't feeling color today, when this happens I gravitate towards my neutral pieces or pieces with simple prints such as these amazing striped wide-leg palazzo pants. I always find them so easy to style (Do you remember when I wore them to the beach here?) so I paired them with a cropped mock neck top and ultra chic snake-print flats that I've worn perhaps way too many times to count. I kept my accessories fun with these ball drop earring and favorite cat-eye sunglasses to complete the look.
This look was pretty chic and simple! What do you think of this easy summer outfit? Will you be trying it too? if so let me know in the comments below and have an amazing day! :-)
All business on the bottom, slightly risky on the top. Isn't that how all iconic looks are formed? I believe so! Showing off shoulders this summer has been all the rave. I have always loved showing off the decolletage. It's a great way to be sexy but subtle. It's like saying, "peekaboo, you kinda see me, you kinda don't." I've been loving these chic pair of paper bag trousers that take any ordinary pair of trousers to the next level. The scrunch waist and slit sides on the ankle add a special detail that I look for in all my pieces. As you could imagine, once I got them I could not wait to wear them. So I paired the trousers with this black off the shoulder crop top and mule heels for what I think is a super sophisticated look. You could never go wrong pairing black and white. Edgy, chic and yet still classic!
