Recently I've been incorporating more minimal pieces into my wardrobe. Partially because it really makes getting dressed in the mornings more efficient when you don't have to choose between a hundred shirts. You can always revert back to a minimal/neutral color palette to get things moving along.

I've recently been inspired by the elegant style of french women wardrobes. They are neutral, modern, classic, tailored, easy and effortlessly chic. I love a casual outfit formula I can always repeat and still look timeless. French women style seem to have a certain "je ne sais quoi" I keep graviating towards.

I honestly can't get enough of wearing culottes (remember when I styled them here), sometimes I feel I live in them as I've worn them so much. That's when you know your money is well invested. Ha! Pairing a striped shirt with this look just seem to make since as it's a French girl staple shirt among others. I took an evening bag and tied a bandanna scarf around the strap for that lux factor with a bit of edge. I pulled the look together with a snake-print pointed flat and a minimal pair of gold earrings to finish the look.

This look was perfect for discovering new cafe's and strolling through the park. Do you like this Parisian inspired look? Let me know in the comments below.

Nail or Fail?

For the life of me, sometimes getting ready can be a headache as I have the hardest time trying to stick to one look. I'll get an idea, then another and want to do them all. Of course trying to incorporate too many trends at once could go horribly wrong, However, I came up with best solution for my wardrobe blues and that was instead of wearing my trench the proper way why not get creative and wrap it into a cool makeshift new shirt. After playing around with different wrapping techniques I decided to go for a monochromatic look and paired my caramel colored midi skirt. I went with my black  stiletto combat boots and choker to amp up the look.  So, what do you guys think? Was this outfit a nail or fail?

The Slip Dress

This morning I woke up feeling great! I drank some tea and prayed. I flipped through some magazines for inspiration. I then took myself to lunch and sipped on a sangria. I talked to my boyfriend who's currently away out the country and went back home to make this post.

Haha! The paragraph above has nothing to do with what I'm wearing but besides the fact that I'm having a great day and I hope you all are too!

My slip dress is from the brand Jonathan Martin, I'm loving the lace trimming on it. My net dress underneath is from a random shop in Houston but the label says "F & F", I hope that helps. My choker is from New York Style store. The shoes are from the Bamboo!
